The Co-op

The Calm+Confidence Co-op exists to connect people with pollinators, food systems, and each other by creating accessible, community-driven opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in beekeeping and growing the plants that feed them.

In 2026, we are turning that mission into action by funding two Apprenticeship scholarships, providing one Hive for a Host in need, and gathering our community through two seasonal events—a spring Garden Tour and fall harvest celebration.

Meet the Board Members

Oktawia - President

Octavia flew to Little Rock from the Old World and 5 years ago followed the neighbor’s wild beehive straight to a new hobby. As an apprentice program graduate and chair of the co-op board she hopes to help our nonprofit bloom and bring the award-winning local honey to your neighborhood. By day she’s a pharmacist, but her true sweet spot might just be somewhere between the hives and a jar of golden goodness.

Erica - Secretary

What started as a love for mead-making turned into a genuine passion for the pollinators that make it all possible. As a founding board member and Secretary of Calm & Confidence Co-op, Erica brings her organizational skills and nonprofit experience to help establish board operations and plan signature educational events like the upcoming Bloom & Hive Hop. She's drawn to Calm & Confidence Co-op because it makes pollinator education approachable and practical — showing everyday people how easy it is to make a difference for pollinators. A longtime member of the Junior League of Little Rock, she's always been drawn to organizations that make a meaningful impact in the community. When she's not working with the board, you'll find her perfecting mead recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, or planning her next trip.

Tess - Treasurer

Since an early age, Tess has been an analytical thinker, fascinated with business and entrepreneurship, and has directed much of her schooling towards a business degree. She loves to bake, work with children with physical and cognitive disabilities, and creating products to raise funds for local non-profits. Philanthropy specifically has always been an interest of hers, so as the Co-op Treasurer, she is making sure that all money made is put to good use and helps the community. Tess will be sure to bring dedication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn to her position.

Join the Co-op and directly fund hands-on education, community hives, and seasonal events that connect people to pollinators and food systems. Every membership helps us reach our 2026 goals and expand access across our neighborhoods.
